Home-grown on the West Coast, DJ Rod is infamous for taking his listeners on a journey far beyond the mystic’s reach. Rod began his obsession for electronic music spinning progressive house fused with hypnotic trance , mashed together with some funky breaks in between.

These days you can hear Rod throwing down some Tech house mixed together with Techno. His style, energy, and smooth mixing skills heighten his listeners’ experience. He has played at parties and lounge venues throughout the city of Vancouver since he started playing in 2001. When he is not mixing, you can find Rod carving up the slopes snowboarding, hiking, travelling, golfing and shooting photos. Rod shares his passions with his wife, Helen, in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

I grew up in Abbotsford, BC, close to Mount Baker, Washington, home to some of heaviest snowfalls in North America and where snowboarding really was born (most people don’t know that!). The area became the leader in snowboarding technology and world boarding champions like Craig Kelly, Jeff Brushie and many other Burton Pro-Riders. For a few years now my friend Roy and I have been spending as much “snow” time as possible at Whistler/ Blackcomb, local Vancouver mountains like Cypress and Grouse, Sun Peaks Resort in Kamloops, and of course Mt Baker. Recently my wife Helen has moved to snowboarding from skiing and is really getting good in the sport.
